Susan Scott is a lightworker who has specialised in the treatment of animals for the last 30 years. She works with a crystal pendulum to dowse treatments for dogs, cats, horses, birds, fish, rodents, reptiles and even humans.
Susan’s healing journey started on the North Coast of N.S.W. in the late 1970’s. She was living in a converted banana shed with her small daughter, 2 dogs, one cat and 2 goats. This was her first experience of using herbs – companion planting with vegetables, flowers and fruit trees.
On a visit to Sydney her first Saluki dog, Basha, was hit by a truck, ended up in the Pound, and 2 weeks later developed Canine Distemper. He survived with the aid of very simple homeopathic and herbal remedies. After this, Susan enrolled in Dorothy Hall’s School of Herbal Medicine in Rozelle. Here began an intense learning curve where Susan and her daughter kept a vast menagerie of animals in their suburban backyard including 4 dogs (2 Salukis and 2 Whippets), chickens, ducks, guinea pigs, canaries and budgerigars and a continuous parade of sick, injured and abandoned animals, including an ex-trotter mare imprisoned on a building block behind their property. Through the 1980’s she also did courses with Denis Stewart from Southern Cross Herbal School and participated in seminars with Ian Billinghurst (creator of the BARF diet and author and publisher of “Give Your Dog a Bone”), and Jackie FitzGerald (the “mother” of alternative therapies for animals in Australia and author of “Animals, Homeopathy and My Life”(Pet Power).
She moved to the Blue Mountains in 1985 where she raised two litters of Saluki puppies. While living there she completed a Bowen Certificate from the Pruss College of Natural Therapies in 1997 and attunements and training in Reiki I and II and Reiki Master and Seichim Master in 1999. Susan did two courses with Ian White learning to use his amazing Australian Bush Flower remedies, (author of “Australian Bush Flower Essences” (Bantum)). She also studied Dowsing, Radiesthesia and Radionics with Isabel Bellamy author of “Radiant Healing, The Many Paths to Personal Harmony and Planetary Wholeness” (Maclean). She obtained her Instructor’s Certificate from the Blue Mountains Dog Training Club in 2001.
Susan moved to the Mid North Coast of N.S.W. in 2003 where she lives with her third generation Saluki, Fern, aged 12 and a half years, and Italian Greyhound, Poppy, aged 16 months. Since moving back to the coast she has successfully completed a Quantum Touch course in Byron Bay in 2001.
Susan’s Modus Operendi
All Susan’s treatments are specific for the individual. She has treated problems varying from skin diseases and arthritis in dogs, kidney failure in cats, laminitis in horses, diabetes in birds and even a carpet snake who could not shed his skin! She has also worked with humans specialising in pregnancy and the newborn and menopause in the older woman. She has worked with many cases of terminal illness, sometimes extending life expectancy, relieving pain, and assisting in a peaceful transition. As all Susan's treatments are diagnosed with a pendulum she can successfully work with patients at a distance (sometimes as far away as Mexico and England) and from all corners of Australia.
Susan employs the following modalities: Homeopathy, Herbal Medicine, Flower Remedies (she has over 300 that she utilizes), Diet and Nutrition. Susan is a Reiki Master, Quantum-Touch Therapist, and also a Bowen Therapist using the Pruss Technique. She is a qualified dog training instructor.
